When you get a cancer diagnosis you start to pay more attention to your body. Things that you might have dismissed in the past could be big issues now that you have cancer. I have been watching and taking notice of things with my health more than ever. I reach out to my medical team a lot with questions or like I tell them...just keeping you in the loop on how I am feeling.
Now, in June when I wasn't feeling quite right, I reached out to my team and was directed to the Emergency Room. You know that outcome, thanks to chemo drugs I had extremely risky emergency surgery for an appendix that had perforated. Recovery was slow, but I got thru it.
I have been feeling tired every day. But I also take a chemotherapy pill every day too. So there is a reason to be tired. I have no energy and no desire to do anything. However I have noticed that I am struggling with simple tasks, I get winded easy. If I carry a load of laundry upstairs I have to sit down and catch my breath. I get breathing so hard that I am light headed. Carrying in groceries from the car is especially hard. I have to sit down for a bit after every bag I carry.
At night when I lay flat I cough a lot. I don't have a cold and the smoky air is gone, so why am I coughing. I googled, yes I googled. I plugged in all my symptoms and read the possible results...the big one that worries me is Congestive Heart Failure.
I reached out to my medical team. I have an appointment with my primary care doctor on Tuesday morning. She also ordered an Echocardiogram next week. My cardiologist is aware and is on standby for the results. I am hoping for answers. I already have RBBB and LAFB with my heart, I don't need anymore.
But no matter what I find out, I will keep going. I am just a bit tired of hurdles that come my way.
The symptoms also sound like COVID: struggling to get air, coughing and exhaustion.
