This week I had my 5th chemotherapy treatment. Each treatment seems to take more out of me. Tired, achy, absolutely no energy, but I keep going.
My after chemo meds got messed up this time and it was ugly for a day or so. I did get the correct ones which helped greatly. But it just wiped me out. I got home from work on Wednesday and took a 4 hour nap, got up, ate a snack and went to bed...slept til my alarm.
Today I have some energy so I am jumping on it and getting things done. A bit of housework, the never ending laundry and a few other things. The cats have toys all over the place, I need to put them in their toy box....only to be pulled out by Gracie an hour later....oh well. Because I know about 2:30 or so I am going to be wiped out.
I am sure anyone who deals with a major health issue, chronic disease understands the fatigue. You take advantage of good energy and rest when you need to. I did go soak in my hot tub for a bit this morning, it helps with the muscle and joint pain.
I still have my Christmas tree up, it can stay up til next weekend when I am off from work. Plus, it's teal and white...I like it. Teal is my ovarian cancer ribbon color. I certainly don't have the energy to tackle it today.
Be thankful for having energy....mine comes and goes.
