Yesterday I celebrated my birthday. For breakfast I had a chocolate cupcake, because on your birthday, you can do that!
I received many birthday greetings on my facebook page, I got text messages, phone calls, lots of cards in the mail, and a special delivery of chocolate dipped strawberries!
Ai big surprise I got was an envelope in the mail from my niece Amy in Grand Forks. She is the librarian at Holy Family-St. Mary's School in Grand Forks. Not only do her students pray for me, they sent me birthday cards. Yes, cards from the kids in each class. I have not read them all yet, but I had tears in my eyes when I opened the envelope.
From Kindergarten to 5th grade, the cards have artwork and messages. The cards are just precious, little ones learning to write to the older students with little pictures drawn on. I am truly blessed. I feel as though I have more little ones to call my nieces and nephews,
I thank God each day. I thank him for all the blessings and lessons and for loving me in spite of my screwups. I am thankful for another birthday and for all who made it so special. Thank you all. I really do appreciate it.
